Squirrel Wheel

With the help of this exhibit, visitors can learn about different sources of energy, the principles of construction and operation of electric motors, and ways to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. The exhibit is based on a large wheel (2.2 m in diameter), which visitors can get on to run or walk. Inside the Squirrel Wheel, there is a handle that the user can hold onto, and a display that shows the amount of energy produced. The wheel rotates around its axis and produces energy. Infographics that are built into the wall provide visual communication between the two sides of the wall. Infographics about physical quantities, such as speed, inertia, force, and driving force, are placed on the walls.
